Ellie Jane Goulding was born in Hereford England on December 30 1986. Tracey Goulding Summers is her mother. Her father Arthur Goulding comes from a funeral family that is a home. Goulding has three siblings: a sister Isabel who is older an older brother Alex and a second sister Jordan. Alex, Goulding's brother, is a bass player. Goulding is also an Hereford musician. Alex was encouraged by her mother to study music as a young girl. When she was nine years old, she began to learn the clarinet.
